I have a client that would like to go on a cruise with her husband and their 6-month old baby. They questioned me on why an infant would pay $800.00. She asked if baby-sitting would be provided, and I responded no she would have to pay for that. She asked what is she paying $800.00 for since she would be bringing formula for her infant, baby food etc. The infant will be 6 months old if they decide to book a cruise. Can you help me out and give me the reason why infants would pay almost the same as an adult. Thank you.

Thanks for your feedback. All guests are required to pay, regardless of their age. The rates are based on the number of berths per stateroom. Not based on age of the guest.

I really wish you would offer lower deposits in the summer on quads for family. I could help fill your ship before summer so you don’t have to do any promos.

Thank you for your feedback. In the recent months, Carnival has featured reduced deposits promotions for the summer and fall combinable with our Early Saver program. Please make sure you check GoCCL.com and your email for current and upcoming promotions.

I have 2 things that I think Carnival should know that I am unhappy about. First, I have had to lower the price on the 7/12/15 Carnival Pride 3 times since January 30th. I have 4 cabins booked, all 4 cabins had price drops, that’s way too much work for me that results in lower and lower and lower commission. Second, your “restriction” on allowing me to book double occupancy into a triple cabin lost you over $800 in revenue and lost me $100 in commission. I needed 2 adjoining cabins with double occupancy – you offered to berth 2 passengers in 6A adjoining (triple occ cabins) but you would not berth them in 6B adjoining (one of which was a triple). The 6A and 6B were exactly the same price and my clients wanted to be on Deck 2 midship, not on Deck 1 aft. But I was told the 6B had a restriction and you would not let me book it as a double. This resulted in my clients having to book the 6 of them into 2 triple cabins instead of 3 double cabins so they could have the ship location they wanted. That makes no sense to me at all. If it’s okay for the 6A category it should be okay for the 6B category since they are exactly the same price. Don’t make rules that don’t make sense – I keep losing money when I make Carnival bookings because of nonsense restrictions and price drops, I’m just not in a good place with Carnival right now.

Pricing can change every day, it can increase and decrease depending on demand and seasonality. In order to secure the best price point in the market, we have our Early Saver program which features Price Protection. Restrictions on the number of guests allowed by category are also placed from time to time. We will take a look at the restrictions in place to ensure they make sense.

Unfortunately a booking can’t be made using a promotion that has already expired. However, we have different promotions occurring on a regular basis that cater to the various needs and desires of your clients. So we recommend you frequently visit GoCCL.com and also review the emails we send providing information about current promotions and encourage you to share them with your clients.
